The supreme act of salvation and the glory of the resurrection lose their meaning if our thoughts and actions, intentions and decisions are inconsistent with our faith.
We now know that the person who died on the cross was the physical aspect of Jesus. But Good Friday would not have been possible without Christmas, the infinite sacrifice of the divine becoming human.
